The Zala Faction Remnants is faction introduced in the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Recollection storyline of the video game SD Gundam G Generation Eternal.

Overview

The Zala Faction Remnants was a resistance terrorist group composed of former ZAFT officers who remained loyal to the ideals of the late Patrick Zala. Their objective was to sabotage the peace negotiations between PLANT annd the Earth Alliance, re-ignite the First Alliance-PLANT War and continue Zala's ambitions to exterminate Naturals. In addition to typical ZAFT Mobile Suits they also used a number of stolen GAT-01 Striker Daggers to make PLANT think that the Alliance still intended to attack them.

History

Following the death of Patrick Zala and the beginning of peace negotiations between PLANT and the Earth Alliance, Meia Shiva and her subordinates from the Jachin Due First Defense Force abandoned ZAFT and formed the Zala Faction Remnants to carry on Patrick's ambitions of extermination. They aimed to use a squad of nuclear missile-equipped TS-MA2 Moebius taken from the wreckage of the Peacemaker Force ship Dolittle to destroy the Nairobi Peace Conference to ensure the war would continue. Many of the faction's members were under the misled belief that they were led by Athrun Zala, causing them to dismiss the real Athrun as an imposter when he attempted to dissuade them.
