ZM-S06G Zollidia

Technology and Combat Characteristics

The ZM-S06G Zollidia is one of several mobile suits that were designed based on data from the ZM-S06S Zoloat. Specifically the Zollidia was designed as a ground-use version for combat on Earth.

Aside from a few minor cosmetic differences the Zollidia and the Zoloat look much the same, however there is a greater difference in their performance because of the changes made to the Zollidia's design to optimize it for ground combat. Changes such as increasing the armor, deceasing the number of thrusters, and upping the power output of the fusion generator slightly. Because of the changes to the shoulders the Zollidia lacks the Zoloat's shoulder mounted beam-string emitter and beam shield. However the Zollidia is still equipped with a beam shield which is mounted on the left forearm. This placement allows the Zollidia to protect itself from any direction, making it much more effective than the Zoloat's beam shield.

History

The ZM-S06G Zollidia is one of the mobile suits developed by Ballistic Equipment & Space Patrol Armory for the use of the Zanscare Empire during their war against the Earth Federation in UC 0153. After the success of their ZM-S06S Zoloat, BESPA used its data to develop several mobile suits for the invasion of Earth, one of which was the ground combat Zollidia. On Earth the Zollidia would prove to be inferior to the Earth Federation Forces mobile suits in combat.
