Yuri Hasler (ユーリー・ハスラー, Yūrī Hasurā^?) is a character from the OVA Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory.

Background

As the commander of the Axis Advance Fleet in accordance with the wishes of Axis Zeon's new leader Haman Karn, who agreed to support Operation Stardust, Maj. Gen. Yuri Hasler led the fleet back to Earth from the Asteroid Belt to provide support for the Delaz Fleet, in which Hasler was an old acquaintance of Lt. General Aiguille Delaz. Major Anavel Gato, who lost the RX-78GP02A Gundam "Physalis" in previous battle, received the AMX-002 Neue Ziel mobile armor from Hasler's supplies. At the time, Axis' senior officials thought it was premature to engage in full-scale warfare with the Earth Federation with a military force that was still in the process of expansion, and Hasler's fleet was forbidden to engage in any armed conflict. For this reason, the support provided by Hasler's fleet was almost entirely limited to the recovery of retreating troops from Delaz Fleet after the end of Operation Stardust.

History

Aftermath

Hasler is known to have participated in the Gryps Conflict as a fleet commander in U.C. 0087 and the First Neo Zeon War a year later.
