Yashima Heavy Industrial co., ltd. (ヤシマ重工?), abbreviated as YHI [3], are a company from the Universal Century timeline [5].
History[]
From the construction of battleships, spaceships, and docks to the production of space gliders and linear cars, they were an international company headquartered in Japan [2]. At the time of the One Year War, they were also producing weapons for MS [1].
From U.C. 0083 to 0099, their main business was developing and producing propulsion devices for spaceships [5].
After Char's Rebellion, they cooperated with SNRI to provide them with micro-honeycomb technology that was the cornerstone of their F-series [1]. Yashima Heavy Industries developed Minovsky Craft, one of the technical applications of Minovsky Physics [6].
In the U.C. 0120s, it seemed they were also advancing into the air sports field, having announced the Homo Avis "Hayabusa 1000" [1].

Notes & Trivia[]
- Although Gundam Officials from 2001 stated that Yashima Heavy Industrial, despite the Yashima name, had no connection to Mirai Yashima [10], the Data Gundam column in Gundam Ace listed it under the Yashima Conglomerate ran by Mirai's grandfather [11][1].
