Technology & Combat Characteristics
Developed by Anaheim Electronics, as a prosecution of mobile suits' development of the Project Zeta, the YRA-90A μ Gundam was a prototype unit used for performance tests with the same body frame that would serve as the basis of the RX-93 ν Gundam. Although, the μ Gundam was not equipped with Psycho-Frame technology as it was primarily used for performance testing. Instead, the RX-9 Narrative Gundam served as the testbed for the Psycho-Frame technology.
- 60mm Vulcan Gun
- A basic armament of many Federation mobile suits, a pair are mounted on the μ Gundam's head. The Vulcan Guns are mainly for intercepting incoming missiles/rockets, destroying mobile suit sensors, and engaging lightly-armored vehicles.
- Beam Rifle
- A high-powered beam rifle with a similar design to the ν Gundam's.
The μ Gundam participated briefly in a battle against Neo Zeon ground forces in U.C. 0092. At this time it was piloted by Amuro Ray as part of the Londo Bell special forces.
