The XMF-P192P Proto-Chaos is a Mobile Armor in the manga Gundam SEED Destiny Astray. It first appeared as an MSV of the series Gundam SEED Destiny.
Combat Abilities
Designed as a testbed for the later ZGMF-X24S Chaos, the Proto-Chaos looks nearly identically to the mobile armor form of the Chaos with the difference of the additional two weapon pods in place of the mobile suit arms on the Chaos. It also differs in the fact that the MA was designed as a non-transformable unit. Since it is the prototype of the Chaos it features mostly the same weaponry as the later produced suit. These include the foot-mounted beam claws, the multi-phase beam cannon and the mobile weapon pods. However the Chaos was later equipped with only two pods and its arms that are equipped with a beam rifle and a cruising shield, while the Proto-Chaos mounts four pods. The armament of the pods however stayed the same.
History
The Proto-Chaos was created by ZAFT at an unknown point of time after the Bloody Valentine War. All-in-all six units were produced with three units damaged beyond repair by sheer force when their test pilot Courtney Hieronymus maneuverd them at maximum speed.
When the finished Chaos is stolen by Earth Alliance pilot Sting Oakley, Courtney goes out with one of the Proto-Chaos units and fights against two GAT-SO2R N Dagger N units in space.
