The XGF-E3 Gundnode (ガンドノード Gandonōdo?) is a mobile suit-type GUND-BIT from Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury.
Technology and Combat Characteristics[]
An unmanned mobile suit-type GUND-Bit that is intended for use with the XVX-016RN Gundam Aerial Rebuild and a data storm network. Individual Gundnodes support the expansion of the Aerial's data storm[1]. The purpose of the Gundnode's network is to provide combat assistance to the Aerial, by defending the Aerial, responding to enemy attacks, and sharing tactical information[1].

The Gundnode was built along with Quiet Zero to pursue Prospera's agenda to create a world for Ericht Samaya to live in. The Gundnode units were stationed inside Quiet Zero[2].
Following declaration by Space Assembly League to forcibly intervene in the Benerit Group and dissolve the conglomerate, one of the Space Assembly League's fleets that patrolled Lagrange 2 was sent to capture Quiet Zero. Unfortunately, Quiet Zero was already activated and deployed the Gundnodes. The SAL's Cargores were unable to keep up with the unmanned mobile suits. The Aerial Rebuild then created a massive data storm network and utilized the Gundnodes to expand its Override range and deactivated the entire fleet's Permet links, leaving them unable to counterattack as they were wiped out[2].
During a second wave of attacks by another Space Assembly League's fleet, the Gundnodes were used to form a massive electromagnetic field exerting Lorentz force, deflecting the fleet's beam attacks[3]. The fleet switched to guided missiles, and the Gundnodes were used to once again expand the Aerial Rebuild's Override range, taking control of the missiles and redirecting them back towards the fleet, destroying one-third of the fleet and forcing them to retreat[3].
The Gundnodes were once again used by Ericht to exert Lorentz force to block the firing of Lagrange 1's Interplanetary Laser Transmission System[4].

Notes & Trivia[]
- Gundnode is similar to Bit Mobile Suits from the After War timeline, both being unmanned Mobile Suits used as Bits.
- Their ability to extend the range of the Aerial Rebuild's data storm, which takes control of enemy Mobile Suits, mirrors the ability of the GN-00902 SEM to extend the range of the GN-009 Seraphim Gundam's Trial System.
- Like The EDM-GB Gundvölva, Gundnode uses mineral Permet in order to be linked with others and to be controlled by, thus it can be resembled to Sv-303 Vivasvat from Macross Delta Absolute Live!!!!!!, which uses mineral Fold Quartz in order to be linked with others and to be controlled by.
