Gundam Lfrith Jiu (ガンダム・ルブリス・ジウ Gandamu Ruburisu Jiu?) is a mobile suit introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury - Vanadis Heart. It is piloted by Kiyu Lavot.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
Long ago at the Vanadis Institute, there existed a GUND-ARM that was not created to be a weapon.[1] As a prosthetic extension, the adaptability of the human body is realized using the mobile suit.[1] This research, known as "Human Expansion," was used as the basis for the Lfrith Jiu, a non-combative unit without a single weapon inside or out.[1] It is clearly not ideal for combat as its power output and thrust also lag behind those of the units built for battle.[1] However, after the Vanadis Incident that led to the destruction of Fólkvangr, the existence of a Lfrith Jiu being used in combat was discovered on Earth in A.S. 106.[1] Reusing the right arm of a large mobile suit, it fights as though the equipment is an extension of its own body.[1] It is recognized on Earth as a mobile suit with formidable combat strength, the Gundam that was so feared in the past.[1]
Armaments[]
- Tiger Hand
- The nickname of the multi-weapon system used by the Lfrith Jiu on Earth.[1] As the mobile suit incorporates a Shell Unit into its design, the Tiger Hand appears to be a reused part from a test machine created in the early days of GUND FORMAT development, but the origin of this part remains unclear.[1] The fingertips of the Manipulator conceal muzzles, making the use of both firing weapons and bladed weapons possible.[1] The forearm's strong armor can be used as a shield, while the thrusters in the shoulder allow for robust propulsion.[1] It can also be mounted on Lfrith Jiu's back as a backpack.[1]

- The Shell Unit that largely covers this unit's head protects the large amount of data gathered by the sensors located there.[1] The GUND FORMAT in operation creates human-like patterns when it emits light.[1]

History[]
The Lfrith Jiu was transported in a trailer heading Baja Calco Station 04 to resupply. Jiu was deployed by Kiyu Lavot when Vilda Miren was in danger of being exposed, with it being able deflect beam shot, and then fired to the crane to get the battery for the truck. It finally escaped before the bridge fell into waters.
According to Chapter 05, one of president's man in a shanty town between destroyed cities shown another same unit rampaged a city through a tablet to Vilda, who also pursued this rumour.
