Wootbit Gunhale (ウットビット・ガンヘイル) is a fictional character from the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam AGE. He is the grandson of the Diva Mechanic Dique Gunhale and son of Woolf Squadron member Arisa Gunhale.

History

In 164 AG Wootbit served as mechanic under Rody Madorna on the Diva. At first meeting Kio Asuno he became annoyed at him, thinking he was a spoiled brat who used the Asuno name to get where he was. Kio apologized, but Wootbit merely pushed him away.

On the way to Rostroulan in South America, the Diva was ambushed by the Vagan strike team Phantom 3 in North American desert. The crew was bogged down by the sand until the AGE System developed the AGE-3 Fortress wear variation for the Gundam AGE-3 which allowed it to hover over the sand. Wootbit piloted the wear parts to Kio and combining with the AGE-3, he became impressed by Kio's innate skill in mobile suit combat as he defeated Deymon Large of the Phantom 3. The two became friends afterwards.

Relationship

Kio Asuno - Although his grandfather Dique was childhood friend of Flit and his mother Arisa was in same team as Asemu, Wootbit doesn't recognize Kio's skill just because he is Flit's grandson and a Gundam pilot. Later, he and Kio became friends after the battle against Phantom 3. Wootbit put some trust in Kio after AGE-3's cockpit been remodified into single-seat.
