William "Willie" Macchio (ウィリアム・マッチオ U~iriamu Matchio?) is a character featured in the Mobile Suits Gundam: Red Giant 03rd MS Team multimedia project.
Personality & Character[]
A sergeant belonging to the Ralph Team, his nickname is Willie. An optimistic personality and the squad's mood-maker, he originally aspired to be a mechanic, but he was pushed by his contemporary, Marobi, to walk down the path of becoming a pilot. He was born in Side 3, and spent his childhood in Zeon, but later moved to Earth, so he has a certain understanding of Marobi's admiration of Zeon's soldiers despite their being the enemy. Occasionally, he shows an extrasensory keenness, but he plays it off to the people around him as his just being lucky, and he doesn't care about it much. He pilots one of the GM RR (Reds) which has been equipped for medium-range combat.

- Willie seems to be named after William Zabka and Ralph Macchio, co-stars of the 1984 film The Karate Kid. The same goes for his commanding officer Ralph Zabka.
