The White Ark is a small combat ship from the Mobile Suit Victory Gundam anime series.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
A small boat that carried the V2 Gundam from the moon's surface. In addition to being capable of atmospheric re-entry on its own, it is equipped with a mega particle cannon and beam shield, and can also carry one MS on each of its four protruding wings, giving it overall combat power on par with that of a cruiser. Unusually for ships of this era, the bridge is retractable.[1]
The bridge can retract into the tower, to provide additional defense for the bridge crew. An airlock is located at the rear of the bridge, and becomes inaccessible when the bridge is retracted.
The deck located between the bridge tower and engine block is commonly used for outdoor recreation by members of the crew. The dark panels aft of that deck open into the engine compartment, but are not large enough to serve as a hangar for mobile suit repairs.
The White Ark can enter Earth's atmosphere unassisted, but to return to space, it requires a booster rocket. One such booster was procured from the captured BESPA base at Lageen.[2]
Armaments[]
- Mega Particle Cannon
- Located in the prow of the spacecraft. It is stowed folded to the rear, then swings vertically and deploys forwards, replacing the spacecraft's beam shield.
- Missile launchers
- Two quadruple missile launchers are located on the bridge tower, below the retractable bridge. They are controlled from the Missile Room, which is located below the bridge. Often run by Odelo Henrik and Martina Kranskie.
- Beam Shield
- The beam shield is deployed from the red prow of the ship, which is extended on a hydraulic ram when the beam shield is activated.

During the Zanscare Empire Wars, the White Ark served as the home base for the V2 Gundam and accompanying mobile suits.
It was initially piloted by the Kranskie parents. They handed over control of the ship to Marbet Fingerhat, Tomáš Masaryk, and Karrel Masaryk.
