Personality & Character[]

Skills & Abilities[]

History[]

Wes Murphy is a Titans captain and the commanding officer of the Murphy Platoon, a unit within the Titans Test Team (T3). At 30 years old (as of U.C. 0084), he is a veteran who served with the Earth Federation Forces during the One Year War, participating in major operations such as the Battle of Solomon and the Delaz Conflict. Before the founding of the Titans, Murphy served under Colonel Eyphar Sinapus. However, following Sinapus' execution—after being made the scapegoat for the Delaz Conflict—Murphy was strongly dissatisfied with the outcome. This ultimately led to his transfer to the T3 unit. Though he's a rough and rugged soldier, Murphy is known for his strong sense of duty and genuine care for his subordinates.

In combat, Wes Murphy takes point as the vanguard, piloting the No. 1 machine. He possesses exceptional combat skills, expertly maneuvering the difficult-to-handle Gundam TR-1 [Hazel Custom], and demonstrating remarkable proficiency with multiple weapon systems when operating unconventional units like the TR-5 [Fiver]. Murphy initially piloted a Hazel, but after it sustained heavy damage, he transitioned to the Hazel Custom, and later became the official pilot of the Gaplant TR-5 [Hrairoo]. Over the course of various missions, he also operated several other mobile suits, including the Hi-Zack Pre-Production Type, the TR-3 Prototype Asshimar [Kehaar], and the Fiver during operations on Earth. Murphy has a surprisingly whimsical side—he’s fond of rabbits, and even chose a rabbit-themed design for his platoon’s unit insignia.

After the Gryps War, Wes Murphy was hospitalized due to injuries sustained in battle. However, during Eliard Hunter’s trial, he secretly left the hospital to appear in court, carrying with him the orders entrusted to him by Otto Pedersen. Following the conclusion of the trial, Murphy was formally discharged from the hospital, and with the assistance of Conrad Morris, both he and Eliard returned to the Federation Military Academy, where they resumed their duties—this time as instructors.
