Disambiguation:

Uragang (ウラガン Uragan?) is a minor character from the manga Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin and the main antagonist of the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin - Amuro 0082 manga. He also appears in the movie Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island.

History[]

In U.C. 0079, Uragang served as M'Quve's lieutenant at Odessa. When the Earth Federation began amassing forces to attack through the Strait of Gibraltar, M'Quve threatened a retaliatory nuclear attack against several major cities on Earth unless the offensive was called off, but the threat was ignored by Gopp. With the nuclear base at Point C.A. not responsive to command's messages, Uragang dispatches the Southern Cross Corps to investigate. Following the recapture of Odessa by the Earth Federation, Uragang escaped into space after being entrusted with a vase by M'Quve, who led the Gouf Squadron and boarded the Gyan.

In U.C. 0082, Uragang and his titular Company survived the One Year War and plotted to assassinate Earth Federation ace, Amuro Ray to avenge M'Quve. They had hired Yamada (aka No.54) to appear as a member of the World Tourist Bureau when Amuro, Hayato Kobayashi and Fraw Bow visited the Izumo Grand Shrine in Japan.[1] After the failure of his shoddy Gyan, Uragang turned around on his chair and hallucinated. He experienced the painting he had of M'Quve talking to him. The painting claimed that he had disobeyed orders by building another Gyan and thus sullying the name of M'Quve, therefore he should die for being part of the circus of fools M'Quve so despised. As a result, Uragang fell unconscious, lying on his table and knocking over furniture and alcohol to the shock of his subordinates.[2]
