The Truck (トラック Torakku?) is an UMRC transport vehicle which appears in ONA Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance.
Technology & Characteristics[]
Utilized by the humanitarian medical organization UMRC, its truck's design resembled domestic medium duty truck of the pre-UC era. The four-wheeled UMRC truck featured body-on-frame construction, with the driving cabin that is independent of the payload portion of the vehicle. Its cargo design resembled smaller version of freight cargo, with 2 hinged doors at the rear for loading and unloading of goods. The driving cabin had a door on each side for driver and passenger's access, and a full glass panel at the front for clear driving vision. The large UMRC logo was featured on top and on both sides of the white cargo to serve as a friendly air and ground defense identification.[1][2] The UMRC truck was primarily used for delivering medical supplies and instruments for its doctors in the battle field or at the backlines for treating wounded soldiers and civilians. Designed exclusively for transport purpose, the UMRC truck was not armed with any weapons or defensive devices.
History[]
These medium-sized trucks were deployed in large numbers by the UMRC as a medical supplies vehicle across the Earth during the One Year War, most notably in Eastern European front and back lines.[1][2] As the UMRC took a neutral stance on the conflict, both the EFF and Zeon Armed Forces allowed the UMRC trucks and its personnel for deployment within their respective dominions to keep its medics ample supplies of essential medicines and resuscitation tools to save more lives.
