The Trailer (トレーラー Torērā?) is an Earth Federation Forces' ground transport truck appeared in ONA Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance.[1]

Technology & Combat Characteristics[]

A mega-size truck developed by the EFF to carry their new weapon, the RGM-79 GM mobile suits and to ensure the strategic mobility of Federation mobile suits on Earth. Due to the RGM mobile suit series' unique backpack design and layout, the front part of the trailer's long, flatbed-style platform was hollowed so not to hinder the protruded backpack nozzles and racked beam saber hilts while the mobile suit was in supine position, with the GM's head being fixed by a framed metallic ring extended from both sides of the wheeled front parts.[1] The Trailer featured two driving cabins, with each one located at the far left corner of the truck and diagonally from each each other.[1] By simply switching from one cabin to another, it facilitated deployment and minimized the need of turning or reversing when parking the gigantic Trailer at a tight space. The Trailer cabins were armored and were assessable via a build-in ladder.[1] However, no other ladder was installed on the Trailer for personnel access to the platform. The trailered mobile suits was usually covered with a canopy but it could be deployed in a matter of seconds during emergency.[1]

History[]

The Trailer were used by the Earth Federation Ground Force to carry their mass-produced mobile suits, the RGM-79 GM across their Eastern European military bases. After the fall of Cluj-Napoca back to EFF's control in early November, U.C. 0079, the Zeon quartet led by Cpt. Iria Solari infiltrated the EFF's mobile suit base near the Olt in central Romania to steal the GMs as ordered by Maj. Gen. Yuri Kellerne for Zeon's technical examination.[2] The intruding duo of 2nd Lt. Ander Heaton and Tech. Cpt. Alfee Zydos stumbled upon a trailered GM, with the former attempted to drive the Trailer away while the latter tried to activate the mobile suit by getting into its cockpit. Heaton's action alarmed the stationed EFF soldiers and they fired at the Trailer's armored cabin. Zydos activated the GM just in time to protect Heaton by standing up and moved towards the shooting Federal soldiers, causing chaos along the way and bought time for his partner in crime to escape.[1]
