Notes & Trivia[]
- This episode had a slight delay from the regularly premiered previous episodes had due to a system error,[2] though it was quickly corrected and premiered only an hour off schedule.[3]
References[]
- The scrolling comments on Kazami's stream make a number of references;
- The first mentions the "Shagedan", a fanterm short for "Char's Geloog Dance" from the Gundam VS series, which refers to a taunt performed by rapidly moving the player’s character left and right.
- Another lifts Lalah Sune's line "The white mobile suit is going to win", from the original Mobile Suit Gundams thirty-fourth episode A Fateful Encounter.
- A number of comments reference battles that ended badly for non-funnel using mobile suits, including RGM-89S Stark Jegan vs. NZ-666 Kshatriya in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorns first episode "Day of the Unicorn" and MSN-00100 Hyaku Shiki vs. AMX-004 Qubeley in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundams last episode "Riders in the Skies".
- The fight between the Aegis Knight and Fake Nu Gundam ends with the Aegis Knight grappling the Fake Nu and blasting it away with the "Scylla" cannon. This is the same move Athrun Zala attempted on Kira Yamato in the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED episode "Flashing Blades", though Kazami is able to pull it off.
- Before Kazami attacks, he shouts out "Then, I'll become a funnel, too!". This is a nod to Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative and Jona Basta, who declares that he'll "become a bird, too" once he takes control of the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam 03 Phenex
- Though it's difficult to make out, LG-GAT-X105 Gale Strike Gundam makes a cameo in the background in the shot where all of GBN prepares for Alus's invasion. This episode marks the mech's debut.
- Karuna's line, "And out of nowhere!", is a reference to an identical line uttered by Ali al-Saachez in the Japanese dub of Mobile Suit Gundam 00 episode 12.
- The battle sequence of the Re:Rising Gundam is similar to the debut battle of the Mech "Rayearth" from "Magic Knight Rayearth OVA". Hiroto's mother has a very similar appearance to Hikaru, the protagonist from that series.
