Synopsis[]
In the Argama, Lieutenant Quattro Bajeena meets with Captain Bright Noa and Captain Henken Bekkener. They've heard there are enemy vessels near Side 2, and there are things to be done there. But Captain Bright says there are rumors about Quattro and what happened on Earth, and they need to be settled. Quattro says that the rumors are true, that Commodore Blex is dead, but that's the past, now there's an operation to do. The captains agree.
In the Argama's hangar, technicians are working on a mobile suit. Kamille Bidan asks if this is the suit they picked up earlier, and the technician says it is, even though it's old it just has to look like a Gelgoog on the outside, the insides are all salvage parts. Kamille asks why, it has no weapons and can't fight. The technician says it's for Ensign Reccoa, she'll use it just to sneak onto the Jupitris.
Kamille is in a corridor, worried about Miss Reccoa getting into danger again like at Jaburo. Fa Yuiry comes out of her room, and he asks her where Reccoa has gone. Fa says she's showing the two kids a tour of the ship. He rushes off, and she follows and catches him. Kamille says Reccoa is sneaking aboard a battleship, and Fa is concerned with him.
They find Reccoa in a break room, sharing juice with the two kids. Kamille is upset that she is putting herself in danger, but she's calm about it, it's just a mission for her. Kamille insists that she take better care of herself. Reccoa calmly remarks that she thought Kamille was more grown up, and Fa agrees with her, Kamille keeps picking quarrels, and not respecting Reccoa's decision. Reccoa tells Kamille he has things to do, and doesn't have time to worry about other people. She and Fa leave.
Fa meets Reccoa in her room, and asks, so now she's going to Jupitris? Reccoa says yes, the last time at Jaburo she wasn't much help. She says they did find she was with AEUG, since they were professionals, but they were too busy with moving to do much with the information. Fa says that Kamille isn't able to see the feelings of others, he doesn't understand that Reccoa is seeking redemption for her failure at Jaburo. Reccoa thanks her, she'll leave flying Methuss to Fa, but spying is better for Reccoa.
Kamille has gone to the hangar and is in the cockpit of Zeta Gundam, when a technician asks if he's OK about Reccoa. Kamille says he is, but doesn't really get what the technician is asking about; the tech says Reccoa is "really something", which gets Kamille angry. Anyway, the tech says, Kamille and Fa are better together at their ages. Kamille is still angry, and kicks away from Zeta to the walkway. Fa is there watching, and he asks why she's there; she just looks at him for a moment, then she grabs him and pulls him down the corridor.
Fa drags Kamille into a room, and tells him that Reccoa is accepting this mission to escape from suffering, and Kamille's losing his temper won't help. He tries to storm out, but she pulls him back: Reccoa doesn't need to be rescued, nor helped, help adds salt to her wound. He says he doesn't understand why she acts emotionally like a little girl. Fa glares at him and rushes out herself.
The Jupitris flies through space, accompanied by a squadron of Titan warships. On the Titan Dogosse Giar, Paptimus Scirocco comes onto the bridge, accompanied by Sarah Zabiarov. He asks if she understands the operation to come: he will take over Side 2, so he can get a place in Earth Sphere. She asks if he really wants anything to do with Earth, and he does, he's a natural Earthman, and wants Earth to be revived. He caresses her cheek and says that he hopes she can help him, and she nods. He tells the Titan captain he's returning to the Jupitris, and Sarah will stay on the Dogosse Giar. He nods to Dogosse Giar's Captain and leaves, and Sarah pats the place where he touched her.
In the Argama hangar, Reccoa and Kamille meet, dressed in space suits. Kamille tells her he'll back her up with Zeta Gundam. She puts her hand on his and accepts, but says she has to sneak in alone. She climbs into Gelgoog, and he into Zeta.
From the Argama bridge, Captain Bright tells Reccoa: when you escape from Jupitris, head for Side 2 airspace, or else make contact with an AEUG vessel. Gelgoog and Zeta launch.
Fa rushes into the bridge, where Bright, Henken, and Quattro are, and calls out Bright: why did he send Kamille out? Quattro says, really, there's no strategic reason to send Zeta, but Bright was correct in ensuring Reccoa's safety. Fa objects, he's thinking like a man, overly protecting a woman. Quattro says gender doesn't matter in the military, but Fa responds that though she's a soldier, first of all she's a woman. Bright interjects, such opinions only matter when there's peace. Fa glares at all of them and leaves. Quattro tells Henken, they should go back to the Radish.
In the shuttle to Radish, Quattro remarks to Henken, Fa is right, girls will always be girls.
Fa is standing in a hallway in Argama as the two kids run by. Then Captain Bright comes down the hallway, and tells Fa she will sortie to backup Reccoa as well. When Fa asks why, Bright says: so you'll act seriously! Fa complains that Bright is being high-handed, to which Bright replies that he's the one giving orders. Fa salutes and goes off to the hangar.
In space, Gelgoog, Zeta, and Methuss are flying. Ahead they see a group of enemy ships, including the Dogosse Giar, and nearby the Jupitris.
The Dogosse Giar bridge crew detects the mobile suits, and the captain sees that they are approaching Jupitris, not the Titan ships. Sarah Zabiarov asks if she should take a mobile suit out, but the Captain can't tell if their are friendly or enemy. Sarah suggests, they could be chasing Paptimus, and if something happens... The captain looks blank for a moment, and then allows Sarah to launch. She goes out in Messala.
While Zeta hides behind a rock, the Gelgoog approaches Jupitris, flashing a light. A matching light flashes from Jupitris, and Gelgoog approaches and enters a hatch.
Gelgoog is stored in the Jupitris hangar, and technicians there are amazed, it's a real old model, and Reccoa wonders out loud how much it would cost her to restore it. An officer comes up and says he's inpected the Gelgoog, and found it's a toy, so he wants to arrest her, but she slaps his hand away: she's not interested in men who abuse their authority. Other technicians vouch for her, she's OK with them. Just then, Paptimus and the Jupitris first officer come by. After they've passed by on the catwalk, Reccoa thinks: so that's Scirocco.
Kamille is still waiting, when he sees a flashing light in space, and an enemy mobile suit. They fight, and Kamille recognizes it as Scirocco's suit Messala, but it's not him in it, it's Sarah. They fight, and she insists she won't lose.
Reccoa has gotten to another part of the hangar, and looks around; she remarks that there are new mobile suit models there. She hides as Scirocco and his first officer walk by; they are talking of a new faction called Axis, which might or might not ally with the Titans. Then Scirocco notices Reccoa, and she says she's lost. One of the officers from earlier comes up and says she's the castaway that was reported earlier. Scirocco comes up to her and caresses her cheek, her hair, in a mesmerized fashion. She slaps his hand away, and he slaps her across the face. He asks for her name and division, and after a bit she names herself Reccoa Londe, from Side 2 Colony 85. The phone rings, it's the bridge reporting fighting outside. Scirocco tells Reccoa to have a safe journey, and he heads for the bridge, leaving her alone.
Kamille and Sarah are still fighting, she does some damage to Zeta, when they are interrupted by a third mobile suit, it's Fa. She shoots and hits Sarah's suit.
On the Jupitris bridge, the crew recognizes Messala fighting, but can't identify the other enemy. Scirocco says he can feel it, it's Zeta Gundam. He thinks this is too much for Sarah to handle, and considers sending out Palace Athene, but seems to realize that Sarah wants to do this fight alone. He tells the crew that Jupitris will not interfere.
A door opens into a control room inside Jupitris, and it's Reccoa. There's only one operator in there, and after a little banter, she punches him unconscious and pushes a button on a control panel there.
On the bridge, a crewman reports that a hatch is opening, without orders. The crew tries to call the operator on the phone, and gets no answer. Scirocco, sprawled casually on his chair, says that it's probably Reccoa Londe, she probably just wants to get home, and he tells the crew to just let her go. He says quietly to himself that he could learn to like her.
The Gelgoog flies out of Jupitris. It joins the other suits fighting, and Sarah feels this is more than she can take. Fa asks if Reccoa is well, which she is, so they gang up on Sarah. Kamille gets a sword cut on Sarah's suit and cuts off a leg, at which Sarah flies her suit away from the fight. The three suits fly back to Argama. Kamille thanks Fa for saving him, and she thanks him for the same.
On the Jupitris bridge, Sarah reports to Scirocco that she tried. He says she did better than he expected; he puts his hands on her head and embraces her for a while, and sends her off to get some sleep.
Back on Argama, Reccoa has drawn diagrams of the things she saw in Jupitris. Captain Bright arrives and goes through the drawings and thanks her. But one drawing of the Jupitris hangar has a big blank space, and he asks what was there. She says she was in a hurry, and asks for the drawing back. She looks at it, and we can see, for a moment, the blank space filling in with the image of Paptimus Scirocco. We also see a moment of her memory of his face looking in a kindly manner towards her. But she tells Bright, she can't remember anything to put there. He sends her to go rest.
Out in the hallway, Reccoa thinks: why didn't I tell him about Paptimus Scirocco?
