The Taurus Cruiser (トーラスクルーザー) (also known as Taurus Carrier (トーラスキャリアー) is a transport spacecraft that appears in Mobile Suit Gundam Wing.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
A space high-speed transport vessel developed for the variable MS Taurus. It resembles a mushroom or an umbrella in appearance, with one or three Taurus in cruise form moored at the cockpit side, facing each other at 120 degrees, on the column-like part of the umbrella handle. The cockpit of the Taurus and the carrier are airtightly connected, so the pilot can come and go without wearing a normal suit. It is basically unarmed, but the Taurus' beam rifle and beam cannon can be used while it is in transport. After the Taurus is deployed, it moves back to the rear, but the operational command of the MD Taurus and the entire MS force is often conducted from here. Its cruising speed and maneuverability are high for a transport aircraft, but not as high as MS. The armor on the front (umbrella part) is solid and can withstand a fair amount of damage.
