Subflight lifter[]
I know the X09A's backpack could work as a subflight unit but did we ever see the X-19A's do the same? Looking at the MG kit, there isn't really any place for the feet to go. It DOES however have handles on the bottom. --Nkuzmik 14:36, December 10, 2009 (UTC)
- AFAIK, not in the anime. I'm not sure if any information from the PS2 console games would be considered a canon source of info.

- My general order of trust goes DVD, anime, manga, model kits. I would rank game console info pretty low

- I think it's implied that the Fatum-01 can do the same stuff as the Fatum 00, it's probably that Athrun never sought to use the subflight lifter as a lifter in combat. Or maybe they never built it in, who knows.Gaeaman788 21:18, December 10, 2009 (UTC)
- Hi there, I believe the subflight unit is meant for the Infinite Justice to grab on to instead of standing on. Based on the model kits and in the anime, there are no standing pads for the IJ to stand on.
- Suggestion:
- The two handles on the underside of the sublifter may on the other hand be a feature to since it allows the Infinite Justice to perform kicks with its MR-Q15A "Griffon" beam blades while allowing it to fire its MA-1911 High Energy Beam Rifle with its right hand, or using its combined Super Lacerta Beam Saber with its right arm. This would explain why even thou Strike Freedom got an extra Gun, Infinite Justice never did, and although it may be Athrun's combat style, the combined beam sabers effectively makes it a single handed weapon. If the hands are free of the beam sabers and beam rifle, it could also grab the boomerang on its shield (which is attached to its left arm which is grabbing onto the underside of the Sublifter).
- However, these are merely speculations on part of mine. CometStrife (talk) 06:07, September 29, 2013 (UTC)
- It seems that IJ literally "kneels" on the subflight lifter as shown on the features on the 1/144 HG Infinite Justice Gundam released years ago (with the provided special display part allowing this), allowing the use of its wing blades (on its lifter) while firing its beam rifle and beam cannon. Plus, Athrun's preferred combat style is more towards close-combat as shown with piloting Aegis and Justice Gundams in SEED, although the style was changed while piloting Saviour due to lack of close-combat options. Infinite Justice while using its combined beam sabers can literally utilize 5 beam blades at once for close-range parrying (beam saber lance + carry shield saber + leg beam blades), shown to be used in taking down Shinn Asuka's Destiny Gundam in the final episode of the series. Given that the HG version of this kit provided one of TWO exclusive display parts for that purpose (the other being HG Destiny Gundam's own exclusive part that can depict battle scene of IJ vs Destiny on one stand).Tsurugi Matsuda (talk) 07:54, September 29, 2013 (UTC)
- Well, based on the 1/100 Model, the Infinite Justice was literally hanging onto its sublifter

- So I guess it is up to Athrun how he wants his Sublifter to be used. CometStrife (talk) 10:02, September 29, 2013 (UTC)
Even 00 Gundam is able to ride on the 0 Riser as can be seen in Gundam Musou 3. So, IJ could ride on the Fatum01 as well if it want to... Pronunciation (talk) 12:02, September 29, 2013 (UTC)
Well, I do believe this is the Infinite Justice we are talking about. I'm just pointing out what I see. Let's just settle this as Athrun's combat preferences, before things spiral out of control. Peace. CometStrife (talk) 13:19, September 29, 2013 (UTC)
