"Developed into AMA-953 BABI"?

How is the CGUE a predecessor to the BABI? The AMF-101 DINN was an atmospheric flight MS, which needed data from the GuAIZ to lead to the BABI. The CGUE should not have an involvement in the BABI, should it? The DINN was made from the Guul anyway, wasn't it? Also, can someone remove that from the InfoBox, please? - BlitzGundam (talk) 05:43, February 4, 2015 (UTC)

It is likely because the MS development chart here( shows CGUE linking to the BABI. However that is likely a mistake. Anyway, AFAIK the DINN was not made form the Guul, it is just CGUE data and a bit of data from GINN TAR type. Im not sure if the BABI use any data from GuAIZ.

CGUE's original purpose

The CGUE original purpose was to replace the GINN. This is stated in the Gundam Official profile. Here's the whole profile: A high-performance mobile suit developed in the early days of the war as a replacement for the GINN. The CGUE has higher mobility than its predecessor and is equipped with new and improved weapons, including a built-in vulcan cannon in the shield on its left arm. However, the CGUE never reached the mass production stage, and the few units that were produced have been assigned to commanders like Rau Le Creuset. And since the site has been shut down, here's the link to the archive version:

Furthermore, the Gundaminfo video on CGUE has this line "This high performance machine was developed by ZAFT as a next generation main weapon". Granted, in a later line it calls the suit a 'command machine', a likely reference to it being assigned to commanders. However, the fact still stands that the CGUE was not designed to be a commander unit, but turn into one due to the situation.Zeph08 (talk) 12:51, February 12, 2015 (UTC)
