Are we certain that the images of the "RX-79 colored Alex" Are even the Alex? I'm pretty certain that it's just supposed to be the RX-78, but they just used the Alex's animation model as a reference since that SD Gundam short was using the War in The Pocket designs for all the mobile suits.
