Do you see any similarities between Aeolia's plan, his Celestial Being World Armed Interventions and Operation meteor?[]

I see the similarites but I decided to put it up because I want to see more comparison between Gundam 00 and Gundam Wing.

Um... Not really. I haven't watched 00, but from what I've heard, CB's ultimate purpose seems to be uniting the entire world against a common threat (the Gundams), thus bringing about world peace (it apparently also involves aliens and magical pixie dust, but whatever). Operation Meteor (the one in the TV series, not the original plan) was a lot more half-baked, giving the Gundam pilots little to no support and asking them to take on pretty much the military might of the entire Earth, since it was literally thrown together at the last minute to prevent the Barton Foundation from dropping colonies and killing billions. And the novel (or was it the manga? can't remember) flat out said that Operation Meteor has already failed by the time Heero was forced to self-destruct. As for the True Operation Meteor, it bears even LESS resemblance to Aeolia's plan, since its goal was to take over the Earth Sphere with Barton Foundation as its new leader (BTW, the plan actually worked in Super Robot Wars R, leading to Quattro saying "Screw it", goes back to being Char, and tries to drop the Axis). Hell, not even the modified Operation Meteor's goal was to bring about peace, since Professor G straight out says that it's about taking out OZ and getting revenge for Heero Yuy's death.

Very little. Yet, what you said about the world unite against CB's Gundams is not what Aeolia's plan meant for, that was Team Trinity (by courtesy of Alejandro Corner and Ribbons Almark)'s twisted variant for the plan. In reality, what Aeolia envisions is that Celestial Being interfere wars and stop war crimes and terrorisms, not mindlessly destroying factories and make enemies with world superpowers. Aeolia has huge expectations for peace and the potential of Gundams and GN Drive, therefore, he would not let these (as well as members and pilots of CB) being sacrificial pawns. Ribbons' version of Aeolia's plan is this: to bring peace for Earth and its humanity, he must become their ruler, but for the plan to work, sacrifices are needed, such as killing the Celestial Beings and purebred Innovators.

  • If you check the history, you'll notice that the post above were made by two users. The thread starter, Mangekyo45, was so obsessed about how "00 = W wannabe" and somehow see connection between everything. Well, Ssskoopa just somehow decide to reply to 6 years old post and unaware that the previous guy doesn't sign his post.--My girlfriend is a loli. 03:44, June 10, 2016 (UTC)
