In the manga why would Master Asia be the fighter for Neo-Japan if in the show he's the fighter for Neo Hong Kong?--For the Swarm! 04:22, October 14, 2010 (UTC)
He was disqualified during his bout as a fighter for Neo Japan because he was preoccupied and didn't reach the designated country for the Gundam Fight finals in time. After this he ended up fighting for Neo Hong Kong, presumably because Neo Japan wouldn't let him fight again. Either way his previous affiliation and his given name prove that he is Japanese.

There's still the matter of whether the manga is considered canon or not. The only confirmed canon is the animated universe where as most manga/doujin tend not to be, even when they are written by former writers for the franchise. Though some have received at least some degree of acknowledgement.
