Strategic Alliance Union, abbreviated as SAU, is a faction featured in the Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS television series. The SAU's territories include South America and most of North America (excluding Canada, Alaska and Greenland). They also had a territory on Mars, but following the McGillis Fareed Incident, the territory was granted to the newly formed Martian Union.

The northern half of the SAU's territory. The Arbrau-SAU War was conducted on the northern borders of the SAU's territory near Balfour.[1]
Martian Territories[]
After the Calamity War, Mars was divided up into territories, each of which were ruled by Earth's factions. The government of the SAU later gave limited autonomy to this territory.

After the Dort Incident, the SAU's space colonies started their own freedom movements.[2]
Arbrau-SAU War[]
Both sides built up their forces along the border of the SAU and Arbrau. The war started out right after a military reconnaissance jet crashed due to Ahab Reactor interference from a mobile suit. After the incident, both sides entered into open conflict with heavy mobile suit and mobile worker combat being waged in the forest and plains of the border region. Arbrau quickly assembled a defense force while also employing Tekkadan's Earth branch and Galan Mossa's mercenary group. The war waged on until Arbrau's Prime Minister, Togonosuke Makanai, reemerged to settle the situation with the SAU.
