The ZAFT Space Shuttle is an spacecraft introduced in Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.
Technology & Combat Characteristics
A shuttle with a large booster that can carry 30 people to and from space. After the booster module is detached, the booster's autonomous piloting system can fly the module back to its point of origin.
History
The ZAFT Space Shuttle is a commonly used spacecraft employed by ZAFT to transport personal to and from the PLANTs to Earth.[1][2]
In C.E. 74, Lacus Clyne and Andrew Waltfeld hijacked the shuttle meant for Lacus' impersonator, Meer Campbell. When ZAFT forces deployed their mobile suits to recapture or shoot down the shuttle, Kira Yamato intercepted the attacks and disabled the mobile suits, allowing Lacus' shuttle to safely exit Earth's atmosphere.[3] The shuttle was later found by ZAFT space forces, however, Lacus and Andrew had abandoned it, and made their way to the Factory.[4]
