Fezarl Ezelcant (フェザール・イゼルカント Fezāru Izerukanto?) is a fictional character from Mobile Suit Gundam AGE. He is the supreme leader of Vagan.

Personality & Character[]

Having to experience and witness the suffering of his people due to the deadly Mars Rays disease, Ezelcant is very desponded of the lives both Vagan and Earth lives in. As one of the first people to colonize Mars during the Mars Colonization Project, Mars Birthday, Ezelcant is calm, calculating, and very devoted of his people. However, deep down, Ezelcant felt that Vagan will repeat the same thing as Earth people has done in their centuries of war and suffering during the Colony Nation Wars, so he decides to create a new plan that will ensure the survival of the human race.

He isn't power-hungry or very tyrannical, but a strong man with one devotion: to create a new kind of human race that will surpass those in the present. Yet, Ezelcant does not believe that he is a God since he's been infected with the Mars Rays and knows that he will die very soon. He seemed like he's heartless, but Ezelcant deeply cares for his wife and his son even after his death. The sight of Kio Asuno makes him remind Ezelcant of his son. He also cares for Zeheart Galette that he trusts him enough to reveal the true intentions of Project Eden and entrusts him to carry out his will to bring forth a new human race.

Skills & Abilities[]

Ezelcant is often referred to by many as an extremely powerful X-Rounder. His exact abilities are unknown, but Zeheart Galette respects his capabilities as an X-Rounder, and he has shown to be able to reach other X-Rounders even through massive distances, as seen when he communicates to a fighting Kio from inside Second Moon, when he is extremely close to death.

History[]

Early Days[]

The earlier accounts of Fezarl Ezelcant's life are not fully known. What is known of his past was that he and his family participated in the Mars Colonization Project, where they migrated to the experimental space colonies in the Mars Sphere. However, a deadly disease known as Mars Rays surfaced as a result of failed terraforming and resulted in the death of 20% of the colonist population, including Ezelcant's young son, Romy Ezelcant. The death of his son and their subsequent abandonment by the Earth Federation caused Ezelcant to swear to return the surviving colonists to the Earth, which he believed rightfully belonged to them, rather than corrupt government of Earth. Around this time, Ezelcant discovered a portion of the lost database known as EXA-DB, which contained information on the technology used during the Colony Nations War. Using this information, Ezelcant was able convert the one of Mars' two moons into an inhabitable colony as well as create army of advanced mobile suits and warships. Having established a home for his people and a powerful military, Ezelcant now had the means to wage war against the Earth, he declared themselves the nation of Vagan, with himself as the supreme leader and began his plan to take back the Earth.

Project Eden[]

Soon, as Vagan prepares to build up its military, ezelcant would come to realize that even if Vagan does retake Earth, they will still repeat the same mistakes as the human race has done before history. Knowing that Vagan will do the same, he begins to create a secret project called Project Eden.

Under the guise of Vagan planning to retake Earth, Ezelcant is trying to make a new kind of human race, one that will evolve to the point where wars do not apply to their nature. To do that, he researched more about X-Rounders as he believes that X-Rounders would have the ability to understand empathy from one another so that a new human race can be what he describe as humans.
