Shinta (シンタ?) is a character that appears in Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ.
History[]
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: Day After Tomorrow - From Kai Shiden's Report[]
Shinta and Qum were, in fact, brother and sister and their father was set up and subsequently killed by the Titans in order to find someone responsible for the murder of Blex Forer and to cover up their own involvement in the assassination. Coincidentally Char meets with Hayato the morning after to discuss the death of Blex near a river where Shinta and Qum just happened to be selling water and when Hayato asks "...Did something happen with those kids!?" Char coldly replies that it was nothing and goes to leave, but as he does so he hears Lalah and replies "If that's what Lalah says…".
Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam[]
When Char Aznable returns from a trip to the Earth Federation capital in Dakar, he brings with him a pair of orphaned children, who remain aboard the Argama as mascots and comic relief. For the most part, Both Shinta and Qum are entrusted to the care of their babysitter Fa Yuiry and their pet robot Haro, but when they're really bored, they'll pester Kamille Bidan, Bright Noa, or the kindly ships' doctor Hasan for additional entertainment.
Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ[]
During the First Neo Zeon War, Shinta and Qum continued to stay in the Argama and appeared to have grown significantly more mature, even after the departure of Fa and a comatose Kamille. They would be given the task of watching over Axis prisoner Chara Soon who was kept tied to Shinta with a rope leash. When the crew came to La Vie en Rose in order to acquire the new Nahel Argama, the station was attacked by Illia Pazom in her MS-14J ReGelgu, and the two children were sucked through a hole into space until being rescued by Bright. For him not to get hurt in the battle in Side 3, Shinta was kept back and not present during the last battle. He was last seen seeing off Judau Ashta and Roux Louka heading for Jupiter.
