Shimon Izuna (イズナ・シモン, Izuna Shimon^?) is a character from Gundam Build Fighters Try.

Personality & Character

Shimon is shown to be a calm and cool person, as he mostly focuses in taking care of his brother. After Sekai meeting Izuna and eventually befriended him, Shimon had finally found his own peace and have became one of Sekai's most precious friends, always backing him and his team up together with Kaoruko Sazaki. When he got to fight Sekai in the tournament, his passion for Gunpla Battle kicked in, and he came to finally enjoy what he always treated as the most precious thing in his life.

Skills & Capabilities

Shimon is shown to be an exceptional Gunpla fighter, as noted by several characters within the show. Thanks to Shimon, Team FAITH was able to advance to round four with the lowest-performing Gunpla possible.

History

Shimon was originally a boxer, and had won the national tournament, but once his brother Mamoru Izuna fell ill, he decides to become a fighter for Gunpla Battle as well, using Mamoru's Gunpla, as a way of keeping his spirit up.

He became the leader of Team FAITH, which represented the Joto Municipal Middle School, and piloted the ZGMF-X42S Destiny Gundam that his brother built while in the hospital .

After his elimination from the tournament, he continued to support Sekai, in the process developing an easygoing friendship with Kaoruko Sazaki, who was also cheering for Team Try Fighters.

During the Meijin Cup brawl, he used Mamoru's Destiny Impulse Gunpla. His relationship with Kaoruko has also continued, since their respective younger brothers have become friends and rivals.

• Shimon's character is similar to Chibodee Crocket from Mobile Fighter G Gundam.
  • They have both fought similar protagonists on almost equal terms.
  • They are both boxers.
• The name of Shimon's team, Team FAITH, is a reference to the ZAFT special force, FAITH, of which Shinn Asuka, the pilot of the Destiny, is a member.
