The Salamis-class space patrol ship is an early class of spaceship featured in Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
The early Salamis-class vessels were characterized by a lattice-work structure used to connect the bridge, hull, and engine blocks. It featured four rocket engines in the stern, and two solar panels located on the bottom of the hull. The Salamis-class was armed with a high-energy laser cannon below the bow, and twenty-four remotely-operated laser satellites. A rail gun could also be tethered to the ship.
Armaments[]
- High-output Laser Cannon
- Remote Control Laser Satellite

History[]
A space vessel deployed before the adoption of the Universal Century calendar, thirty-six units of the Salamis-class patrol ships were known to have been produced. They were used to guard the Laplace colony during the calendar reformation ceremony in U.C. 001. The famous Salamis-class cruiser, which first entered service with the Earth Federation Army in October of U.C. 0070, seems to have inherited its name.
Trivia[]
- The Salamis-class patrol ship originally appeared as the "original Suruga" in Gundam the Ride: A Baoa Qu before its animated debut in Gundam Unicorn.
