Saki Dessau is a character from the Mobile Suit Gundam: We're Federation Hooligans!! manga. He also appears in the mangas Mobile Suit Gundam Katana as well as Mobile Suit Gundam - Acguy: 2250 Miles Across North America.

Personality & Character

Saki is seen to be a very cold and calculating individual. He's completely dedicated to his unit's mission and will follow it with the utmost conviction. He is calm and a stern leader, and does not waiver in his determination to see to the mission's completion. Most of all, under his cold and distant appearance, he places true faith in his fellow teammates; knowing his choices for his recruited team members to be the right ones in the end.

History

Major Saki Dessau was an Earth Federation Forces officer during the One Year War. He is known as one of the founding members of The Nemesis Instructor Corps; responsible for the organization's establishment and overall operations. Unlike his other founding counterpart, Hawk Reuser, who was the unit's mobile suit commander; Saki was in charge of the political and bureaucratic dealings of the nemesis. He also was the one behind the unit's ulterior objective; which was to uproot and expose the deep levels of corruption within the federation forces high command that had been festering towards the final days of the war. This mission resulted in the exposure of several key conspirators within the federation ground forces; who had been secretly staging several freak Zeon attacks across North America; this was done in an attempt to prolong the war, in hopes of gaining more power within the federation command structure. Thankfully, their plot was thwarted by Saki and the nemesis team; bringing the corrupt leaders to justice.

However, after the war, the nemesis team was disbanded. Only for Saki to reassemble it in 0084 with a new mission. Which was to infiltrate and investigate the intentions behind True Federal; a federation splinter faction that has emerged after the events of Operation Stardust. He and his fellow nemesis teammates would later join the BGST in their mission to stop prevent True Federal's "Day of Benevolence" plan.

Relationships

Tamamu Shyamalan: In U.C. 0055, before founding the Nemesis corps, Saki's goal of removing the federation's corruption was seeded by his professor Tamamu Shyamalan. A firm believer in Zeon Zum Deikun's wisdom, He unfortunately died during a civilian riot outside of the military academy where Saki was being taught. Carrying his professor's broken body, Saki then dedicated himself to the teachings his professor preached to the masses right before his passing.
