Romanof (ロマノフ?) is a fictional character from the After War Gundam X anime.
History[]
General Romanof is the New United Nations Earth military commander in charge of taking over the last remaining countries in the Asian Theater for the New United Nations Earth government. His tactics against the combined forces of the People's Republic of Estard, the Democratic Republic of Gastar, and the United Kingdom of Northernbell are nothing short of brutal.
He orders a massive carpet bombing of the three nations till the destruction of the airbase, which prompts the Freeden into helping the nations in their counterattack. His forces fight a difficult battle but ends with the destruction of Airbase 11 at the hands of the Gundam Double X.[1]
His forces are later seen engaging in warfare inside of civilian areas with mobile suits. His harsh tactics eventually work as the United Kingdom of Northernbell falls in "Operations S",[2] providing him with leverage against the remaining two due to their ethnic hatred of one another. Signing a peace treaty with the Democratic Republic of Gastar, he finally forces the People's Republic of Estard to surrender.[3]
