The Re.H.O.M.E. is a modified Cornelius-class ship introduced in the manga Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray.
Technology and Combat Characteristics[]
The Junk Guild ship Re.H.O.M.E. is a heavily modified Cornelius-class tender ship. Multiple crane arms were added to the top and sides, the stern sections were enlarged, while the bow sections have added hatches at the top and were extended as evidenced by the fact that there are four lateral hatches compared to the original Cornelius's three. The important modification however was to the ship's computer - integrated into it is the GG Unit, a device that contains the brain of George Glenn, the first known Coordinator. Thus, Glenn functions as the Re.H.O.M.E.'s captain, and can pilot any of the mobile suits carried aboard as long as they can maintain a telemetry link to the ship. The ship was initially only armed with a pair of 105mm linear cannons, but was later upgraded with a pair of Positron Blaster Cannons, similar to the Archangel's "Lohengrin" cannons, and they were mounted horizontally underneath the primary cargo bays. For defense, a pair of removable shields stored at the stern sections could be wielded by the side-mounted crane arms to block incoming attacks. Additionally, the added top hatches at the bow sections could also be detached and held by the top-mounted crane arms as make-shift shields.
Armament[]
- 105mm Linear Cannon
- The Re.H.O.M.E. has two linear cannons mounted in the back of the ship, one on the left side and another on the right side, and they are retracted when not in use. These linear cannons have similar shape as the "Valiant Mk.8" 110cm linear cannons used by the Archangel, but are more compact and have a smaller caliber. Large linear cannon is formed when the side-mounted crane arms sandwich and act as additional barrel for the 105mm linear cannon.
- "Lohengrin" Positron Blaster Cannon
- The Re.H.O.M.E. is equipped with two "Lohengrin" positron cannons mounted horizontally underneath the primary cargo bays. These cannons were not used until after the Re.H.O.M.E. returned to Earth from Mars, at which time Lowe Guele commented that they were a recent acquisition.
- Shield
- A pair of Laminated Armor shields are stored on the left and right sides of the ship, behind the 105mm linear cannons. These shields are wielded by the side-mounted crane arms to defend against incoming physical and beam attacks.

History[]
The ship that would become the Re.H.O.M.E. was initially meant to serve as the supply vessel for the Earth Alliance's Archangel-class warship. However, the ship was lost during the destruction of Heliopolis and then salvaged by unknown parties. Afterward, the ship ended up on the civilian vessel market, where it was purchased by Lowe Guele's Junk Guild team as their home vessel.
Later during the war, the Junk Guild was contacted to resupply the Three Ships Alliance, and the Re.H.O.M.E. was deployed for the job. The ship then arrived and resupplied the group following the Battle of Mendel and just before the Second Battle of Jachin Due.[1] During the war, the Re.H.O.M.E. also discovered the ZAFT's GENESIS Alpha. The Junk Guild ended up taking control of GENESIS Alpha and the crew later used it to propel the Re.H.O.M.E. to Mars.
After returning to the Earth Sphere in C.E. 73, the Re.H.O.M.E., along with Serpent Tail, the ZGMF-X12 Gundam Astray Out Frame and Rondo Mina Sahaku's forces tried unsuccessfully to use the GENESIS Alpha to push away the remains of Junius Seven.
