Ran Kotomori (コトモリ・ラン, Kotomori Ran^?) is a character that appears in the video game Gundam Breaker Mobile and the related ONA Gundam Breaker Battlogue.

Personality & Character

Ran Kotomori is an outgoing and overly-friendly woman, which her daughter Ren Kotomori finds exasperating. Ran still appears very youthful, and is often confused for being Ren's older sister instead of her mother. One of Ran's great joys is watching young talent develop, so she tends to pay attention to the high school fighters to spot prospective talents before they go pro. She also likes to collect autographs.

Ran is a designer for Tomori Enterprises and is married to the company's President. A family company, Ran often jokes that whoever is lucky enough to marry her daughter will get to be the next President. Ran is said to have a lot of behind-the-scenes power in the Gunpla battling world because of her sponsorship, and she is also a gunpla battler in her own right.

History

Ran designed the Gundam Artemis, which was offered as a prize for a Gunpla Guerrilla Battle tournament sponsored by Tomori Enterprises. Sana Miyama and the Protagonist would win the guerrilla tournament as a team and received the Artemis, which the Protagonist would use to go on a winning streak. The positive notoriety the Protagonist brought Tomori Enterprises using their grand-prize gunpla made it easy for the company to sponsor a second Guerrilla Battle tournament the following year, and Ran would once again design a new gunpla as the reward. Ran would also enter the Guerrilla Battle tournament, teaming up with her daughter Ren, and would battle against the Protagonist and Sana, but they were defeated.

Notes & Trivia

• Ran pilots an unnamed Gunpla, which is a mixed build of body parts from the Atlas Gundam and Stargazer Gundam, equipped with the Atlas's Beam Saber and Blade Shield and the Atomic Bazooka from the Gundam "Physalis". All parts retain their original colors, but the optics "glows" are a paler green.
