The RX-79[G]GUCT Gundam Ground Urban Combat Type (陸戦型ガンダム（市街地戦仕様） Rikusen-gata Gandamu (Shigaichi-sen Shiyō)?) is a Gunpla that appears in the Gundam Breaker Battlogue ONA and Gundam Breaker Mobile [1]. It is a variant of the RX-79[G] Gundam Ground Type controlled by an AI.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
Customized camouflage with an emphasis on urban ground warfare based on land-based Gundams specialized for operation under gravity. Enhanced armor and response speed. In addition, the camouflage effect at night has been improved by changing the coloring using a special paint.
Armaments[]
- 60mm Vulcan Gun
- Similar to the RX-79 [G] Gundam Ground Type, this is the shell-firing armament built into the torso. These rapid-fire but low offensive power weapons are used for destroying lightly-armored units, restricting enemy movements, intercepting missiles, intimidation, etc.
- Multi-Launcher
- This is the exact same armament from the original RX-79 [G] Gundam Ground Type, equipped underneath the chest Vulcan. This multi-purpose launcher is capable of firing netguns, flares, grenades, and other projectiles. When not used for direct combat, it is used for various other purposes, from distracting enemies, or communicating with allies, etc.
- X.B.Sa-G-03 Beam Saber
- This melee armament is a small device held in the mobile suit's hands when operated and is powered by a rechargeable energy capacitor. It emits a blade of plasma contained by an I-Field and can cut through most armor not treated with anti-beam coating. The RX-79[G] GUCT has two beam sabers, one stored in the side of each lower leg. The change to leg-mounted saber racks is possible because space have been freed up due to the omission of attitude control thrusters and associated fuel tanks, which are not needed for a ground use unit. The change also serves as dust-proofing measure.
- YF-MG100 100mm Machine Gun
- The standard armament for the RX-79 [G] Gundam Ground Type, which is equipped with a box magazine and folding stock, it has excellent rate of fire and is easy to wield. It utilized a smoothbore type barrel that lacked rifling and has to be replaced after firing 3000 rounds. The weapon could utilize three different types of ammunitions: HEAT (High Explosive Anti Tank), APFSDS (Armor-Piercing Fin-Stabilized Discarding-Sabot), and HESH (High Explosive Squash Head), allowing combat units to select the appropriate type to meet operational needs. Every Gundam Ground Type and GM Ground Type carry two spare magazines on their side skirt armor.
- FH-X180 180mm Cannon
- A portable solid shell cannon, which is a long-range, large caliber physical projectile weapon for use in 1G environment. This weapon uses a six-rounds box magazine that is inserted into the top and can fire different types of ammunitions. The most notable feature of this weapon is that it can be broken down into compact components for transport in the weapon container carried by the mobile suit.
- XBR-M-79E Beam Rifle
- A standard beam rifle, with its similarities in terms of designs and functionality with the original RX-79 [G] Gundam Ground Type's BLASH XBR-M-79E Beam Rifle.
- ERRL-TYPE.Doc-04/380mm Rocket Launcher
- Also known as Hyper Bazooka (Ground Type), it has a very versatile design with features that include targeting sensors, etc. It uses a banana-shaped magazine and has a short barrel to facilitate its use in jungle/forested areas. This weapon can utilize a number of different munitions including warheads that deploy stabilizing fins after launch, and this shows that its design took many references from human-sized ground weaponry used in older eras. It can be broken down into various components for transport in the weapon container carried by the mobile suit.
- 6ML-79MM Missile Launcher
- A launcher system consisting of multiple missile containers fitted on a base unit. Two to four missiles can be stored within each container depending on the type of warhead selected to meet the needs of the operation. It can be broken down into various components for transport in the weapon container carried by the mobile suit.
- RGM*S-Sh-WF/S-00109 Shield
- A standard defensive armament with its twin spikes at the tip, which could act as a striking armament, as well as to be used as a free standing frontal defense, and to stabilize the gun mounted onto the shield.

- The Gundam Ground Urban Combat Type's color scheme resembles the RX-78-01[N] Gundam Local Type (North American Type) and the RX-78-01[FSD] Gundam FSD.
- The Gundam Ground Urban Combat Type uses EXAM system, which is used by its base's successor in line, RX-79BD-1 Blue Destiny Unit 1.
