The RX-78NT-X (MRX-003) NT-X (pronounced Netix) is a Mobile Suit which was featured in the video game SD Gundam G Generation Series.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
A development of the Earth Federation Forces' Newtype-use prototype mobile suit, the RX-78NT-1 Gundam NT-1. The NT-X was a testbed for Psycommu technology the Earth Federation acquired from various former Principality of Zeon facilities. Its greatest feature was a pair of back-mounted, wired Psycommu Bits. Because these weapons were wired, even pilots without Newtype abilities could control them to an extant. Since the Federation was unable to achieve Psycommu miniaturization at the time, the NT-X ended up becoming a superheavy unit.[1]
Armaments[]
- 60mm Vulcan Gun
- Machine Gun
- Beam Rifle
- A weapon used by Kotezu's unit.
- Twin Beam Launcher
- A pair of twin beam launchers hidden underneath the forearm armor, these replace the Alex's Gatling guns. They are most effective at mid-range.
- Beam Saber
- Shield
- Wired Bit
History[]
Built after the end of the One Year War, the NT-X was a testbed MS developed by the Augusta Newtype Lab to research Zeon Psycommu technology. Its develpoment was later continued by the Murasame Newtype Lab, and it was assigned with the model number MRX-003. It was said that the testing data of its Wired Bits contributed to the development of the Quasi-Psycommu remote weapon "Incom".[1]
While never seen in actual combat, NT-X's test data greatly helped the Earth Federation to develop a miniature psycommu system and its wire-guided bit served as an early model of the INCOM quasi-psycommu system.
In U.C. 0084, Kotezu's Full Armor Alex was modified into an NT-X based on data from the Murasame Lab. It later participated in the final battle with True Federal at Side 7.
