A combat armament mounted on the backpack. Its blade-shaped beam can instantaneously cut through the armor of the mobile suit.
Shoulder Cannon
A medium range, solid shell firearm with a magazine mounted in the rear. It's set on the left side of the backpack after swapping out the beam saber and has a moveable base.
Arm Vulcan
Installed on the left forearm, attached to the gate-shaped parts on the cuffs.
Shoulder Magnum
A twin barrelled cannon mounted on the left side of the backpack.
Beam Rifle
The beam rifle is the primary weapon used by the Prototype Gundam. .
Shield
An armament with extremely high defensive capabilities obtained by adopting a multi-layer structure made of multiple materials.
History[]
One Year War[]
The Prototype Gundam reveals itself.
When Denim and Gene were taking a look at a Guntank being used as a mock target, Ash encountered a new enemy in his Zaku. When the enemy fired its Vulcans, they decided to engage it. All three Zakus kept on firing their hyper rifles at it but after the clouds of smoke cleared, they saw that their shots hit the Prototype Gundam's shield, which was little more than dented. [2].
Despite its performance, the Prototype Gundam was destroyed after it shot through a Zaku II's fusion reactor at close range with the beam rifle, triggering an explosion that engulfed the prototype and sucked it into space [3].

Notes & Trivia[]
The Prototype Gundam's yellow coloration and four-quadrant stickers make it resemble a crash test dummy.
Fittingly, when it first appeared in the manga, Federation Officers wondered if it was scheduled for training, indicating that tests were still being run on it, just like real world test dummies.
The four-quadrant stickers on dummies are meant for cameras to track movement.
