The RX-124 Gundam TR-6 [Woundwort] Gigantic Mode, also known as the RX-124 Gundam TR-6 [Woundwort] Psycho Gundam Mk-II Gigantic Arm Unit, is a variant of the Gundam TR-6 Woundwort produced by the Titans Test Team. The unit appears in the Advance of Zeta: The Flag of Titans novel.

Technology & Combat Characteristics[]

The Gundam TR-6 Woundwort can be equipped with gigantic weapons through the attachment of the Hrududu II units. In this configuration, known as the Gigantic Arm Unit Form, the arms and legs of massive mobile weapons—such as those from the MRX-009 Psycho Gundam—are mounted onto the drum frames located on the Woundwort’s shoulders and waist via the Hrududu II. This form also incorporates various reinforced parts from the TR Project, including the Multi-Weapon Container Unit, and represents the culmination of the Gigantic Form concept that was previously tested using the TR-1 and TR-5 series. Notably, these large weapons can be detached and reattached during battle. [1]

The arms and legs in this form are referred to as the Gigantic Arm/Leg Units, and parts from both the Psycho Gundam and the MRX-010 Psycho Gundam Mk-II can be used. When equipped with the Mk-II’s limbs, the unit gains the capability for all-range attacks via launchable forearms. The arms can also function as artillery turrets or melee weapons, while the heavy legs serve as stabilizing outriggers, enhancing striking power in close combat and supporting the overall weight of the unit.[1]

Three Multi-Weapon Container Units are installed on the back. These primarily house: the boxed Psycommu System unit, remote-controlled weapon containers (e.g., Funnels, Incoms), and I-field generator unit for defensive shielding. Additionally, the Multi-Weapon Containers act as a kind of exoskeleton, linking the TR-6 to the Hrududu II units and sub-arms to reinforce structural integrity. The Psycommu system is operated by either the Type-3 or Type-7 BUNNyS OS, allowing even non-Newtype pilots to use the system. However, when a Cyber Newtype is at the controls, the unit’s performance increases dramatically, unleashing the full destructive power of what’s often referred to as a “Giant God.”[1]

History[]

Mobile suits, typically standing over 18 meters tall, are often described as "giants". However, there exist even larger machines—twice their size and far more powerful. Most of these are Newtype-only (NT-only) units, and their presence evokes the true image of a "giant."[1]

The earliest example of such a machine was the MSN-02 Zeong, deployed at the end of the One Year War. Originally an experimental mobile suit, the Zeong featured massive, oversized arms and was equipped with a Psycommu system exclusively for Newtype pilots. Though unfinished, it was designed to stand nearly 40 meters tall with its intended leg units installed. Its duel with the RX-78-2 Gundam ended in a draw, but the Zeong was seen as a threat by the Earth Federation Forces and directly inspired the development of the MRX-009 Psycho Gundam—a Federation response that could be called its version of the Zeong.[1]

Years later, under the Titans' TR Project, a successor to the Psycho Gundam series was developed through the "Model Integration Plan". This led to the creation of the Gigantic Form—a TR-6-based configuration designed as a replacement and evolution of the Psycho Gundam series, anticipating the emergence of new, even larger enemy mobile weapons. At the time, the idea of mobile suits over 40 meters tall engaging in battles was considered outlandish, and the TR-6 development team struggled to defend the practicality of such a vision.[1]

However, in the aftermath of the Gryps Conflict, during the final phase of the First Neo Zeon War, Neo Zeon deployed the NZ-000 Quin Mantha—a colossal, NT-use mobile suit designed as a decisive battle weapon. Armed with powerful Psycommu weaponry, it proved itself by shooting down multiple AEUG Gundam-type units. These enormous machines, beginning with the Zeong, would reappear again and again across the Universal Century before the Gundam as a threat on the battlefield. In order to fight these giants who used their massive bodies as weapons, the TR-6 also obtained the “Fist of the Giant God”.[1]

During the ReZeon Founding War, this machine was deployed by Titans remnants and Cyber Newtypes loyal to ReZeon. Multiple Gigantic Arm Units were mass-produced as TR-type reinforcement weapons and stored within the Inle’s weapon silos, as part of a plan originally proposed by the TR Project: to use them as modular replacement parts. This machine, which trampled across Martian soil, crushed ReZeon's enemies with its fists and played a pivotal role in securing victory and establishing ReZeon’s foundation.[1]

Variants[]

The armament can be expanded to include two RX-124 Gundam TR-6 [Advanced Kehaar II] units in MS form mounted on the Psycho Gundam arm’s shoulders, with composite shield boosters mounted on each Advanced Kehaar II. This configuration is much like the RX-121-3C Gundam TR-1 [Haze'n-thley-Rah II] and the RX-124 Gundam TR-6 [Queenly].
