The RX-124 Gundam TR-6 [Dandelion II] appears in the photo novel Advance of Zeta: The Flag of Titans. The Dandelion II is named after the character Dandelion (fictional rabbit character from Watership Down).
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
The RX-124 Gundam TR-6 [Dandelion II], also known as the Gundam TR-6 [Woundwort] Dandelion II Form, is a form of the TR-6 in which the core MS is equipped with an atmospheric entry module derived from the RX-107 TR-4 [Dandelion]. It is suggested to be the successor to the NRX-055 Baund Doc under the Model Integration Plan. Additionally, as it was designed following the concepts introduced by the RX-123 Gundam TR-S [Rabscuttle] after the Model Integration Plan, it shares many common parts and design features with that machine. The Dandelion II also serves as the lower body of the Gundam TR-6 [Inle].[1] [2][3]
Primarily intended for stratospheric operations, the Dandelion II utilizes the Minovsky Craft system installed in its Daedalus Unit to enable atmospheric flight. However, it is also equipped for high-speed combat both inside and outside of the atmosphere. A pair of large claw arms, which also function as AMBAC (Active Mass Balance Auto-Control) actuators, allow it to engage in hit-and-run melee attacks. In MA mode, the core MS is completely enclosed within the Dandelion II unit. When shifting to MS mode, the module splits open from the center, exposing both the core MS and the Daedalus Unit.[4][5]
In this form, the core MS is outfitted with several pieces of specialized equipment: a composite shield booster mounted on the right forearm; a defensive diffusion beam cannon-equipped shield mounted on the left arm, which also forms the nose of the Dandelion II in MA mode; and winch cannons installed on the sub-arms of the Hrududu II unit attached to each shoulder.[1]
