The RMS-117 Advanced Galbaldy β is a mobile suit from Advance of Zeta Re-Boot: Gundam Inle.

Design & Development[]

The RMS-117 Advanced Galbaldy β is a modernized (advanced) version of the RMS-117 Galbaldy β. The Galbaldy β was developed into the RMS-117 Galbaldy β High Mobility Type under the "TR Project," and served as an experimental testbed for mounting various pod systems onto its backpack. However, due to incompatibility with the Transpack System, it required reinforcement, leading to the addition of extra frames and armor on the torso and back.[1]

To enhance its performance, a latch-mounted binder thruster was installed on the front of the torso, while a prototype high-mobility booster pod was mounted on the upper back. This booster pod, equipped with latches on both sides, could be fitted with various optional equipment, enabling it to operate in multiple configurations: a high-mobility unit, a medium-range support unit, or an EWAC (Early Warning and Control) unit. This high-mobility booster pod would later evolve into what became known as the Multi-Connector Pod.[1]

However, the development of the Advanced Galbaldy β did not proceed as intended. The pilot assigned to the Galbaldy β High Mobility Type, along with the unit and its development data, defected to the AEUG. As a result, the Titans were unable to realize the advanced model they had envisioned. Nevertheless, the captured data would go on to influence the design of new technologies, such as the Shield Boosters used by the Nemo Cannon and Rick Dias [Stutzer]. Later, the booster pod concepts were inherited and refined through the development of the Gundam TR-1 [Advanced Hazel]. Incidentally, had the Titans successfully completed the program, the upgraded unit was to be officially designated the Galbaldy γ (Gamma).[1]

Operational History[]

After the Gryps Conflict, an Advanced Galbaldy β was carried to Mars by the Tristan Fleet. Using the actual unit and its captured data, ReZeon successfully reproduced a limited number of these machines.[1]
