The RMS-108M Assault Marasai (アサルト・マラサイ, Asaruto Marasai^?) is a mobile suit first introduced in the smartphone game Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. ENGAGE.

Technology & Combat Characteristics

The RMS-108 Marasai was well-received by soldiers as "a machine that is both versatile and productive, having the raw productivity to operate multiple beam weapons simultaneously." Titans pilots requested an "improved unit based on the RMS-108" due to its excellent maneuverability. As a result, the improved RMS-108M Assault Marasai was developed.

The main weapon is a shorter-barreled beam launcher, based on the weapon of the RMS-106CS Hizack Custom. Although its sniping performance has decreased compared to the long barreled type, it maintains high firepower and is more versatile in MS battles. The shield has been changed to one-handed equipment, and a missile pod is equipped onto both shoulders instead. The chest thruster is a mechanism that applies sudden braking and, other than variable machines, it has peak specifications among high-mobility units. Because it was planned to be individually deployed to the Titans' ace pilots, it was painted navy blue, the Titans' color. Although this machine satisfied their high demands, since it was manufactured by AE, troubles tended to arise with maintenance, and most pilots had no choice but to receive an alternate MS.

Armaments

• Vulcan Gun

A pair of vulcan guns is mounted in the Assault Marasai's head. These shell-firing weapons have a high rate of fire but little power and are generally ineffective against mobile suits, though they can damage lightly armored areas such as the sensors. They are also ideal for shooting down small, lightly armored targets such as missiles or small vehicles.

• Triple Missile Pod

The same model of 3-tube Missile Pods which could be optionally fielded by the Hizack. One is mounted onto each shoulder.

• Short Barrel Beam Launcher

The same model Beam Launcher also used by the Hizack Custom, however it is said to have a shorter barrel, reducing its sniping ability, but increasing its overall versatility while maintaining high power.

• Shield

The same model of shield used by the standard Marasai, though it is no longer mounted on the right shoulder, instead being swapped to the left forearm. It serves as the Assault Marasai's primary means of defense and has a storage rack for its beam sabers.

• Beam Saber

The beam saber is a small device held in the mobile suit's hands when deployed and is powered by a rechargeable energy capacitor. It emits high-energy Minovsky particles to form a blade-shaped I-field (via manipulation of electromagnetic fields), and then fills this I-field shell with superheated Minovsky particle plasma to produce an effective cutting blade. The Assault Marasai uses the same type of longer-handled beam saber as the standard Marasai. Its two beam sabers are stored on the back of the shield when not in use.

History

Some Assault Marasai were shown to be present in combat against AEUG forces during the lead-up to Operation Apollo and the Titans occupation of Von Braun.
