The RMS-106AN Act Hizack (アクト・ハイザック Akuto Haizakku?) is a mobile suit first introduced in the smartphone game Mobile Suit Gundam U.C. ENGAGE.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
A Newtype Research Institute specification of the RMS-106 Hizack. The base RMS-106 machine was produced as the mainstay unit of the Earth Federation Forces and deployed to various units, and, during the Gryps Conflict, it was put into service by the Titans faction to pursue AEUG and Karaba.
Its appearance and equipment are mostly the same as the standard RMS-106, except the left shoulder armor lacks the spikes and it was developed as a magnet-coated specification to cooperate with the MS-11 Act Zaku and variable MA. Also, since the internal structure was refreshed, it was given the new name RMS-106AN Act Hizack.
It is equipped primarily with solid munitions as a medium-range support for transformable MA units, and its main weapon, the Hyper Bazooka, was the improved version manufactured by Blash and used by the RX-78-2 Gundam. It was a weapon widely used in the One Year War, and its performance was assured, which was the deciding factor for its adoption. The missile pod mounting position was changed from the waist to the arm. It was easier to aim on the arm, and it was said to be more suitable for medium-range support.
Armaments[]
- Shoulder Shield
- Mounted on the right shoulder, the shield is a simple defensive implement used to block enemies' attacks.
- Hyper Bazooka
- The same model of Hyper Bazooka first used by the RX-78-2 Gundam. The Hyper Bazooka is a portable, handheld, anti-ship rocket launcher that functions like a recoilless rifle, with gas ejected from the rear of the weapon. It is loaded with five rounds in a magazine towards the rear end.
- 3-tube Missile Pod
- The same type of missile pod that could be optionally mounted, as a pair, onto the standard Hizack's waist, though the Act Hizack has changed the mounting location to the arms.
Special Equipment & Features[]
- Magnet Coating
- A special membrane treatment applied to mobile suit joints. The special magnet coating materials could be electrically charged to produce a magnetic field. This field caused the components of the joints to repel one another, reducing the friction caused by joint movement to almost nothing, creating a faster and much more responsive mobile suit.
History[]
Some Act Hizacks and Act Zakus were deployed, on Base Jabber Sub-Flight Systems, to act as support for Rosamia Badam and Buran Blutarch's transformable Mobile Armors as they pursued AEUG forces across North America in the May of 0087.
