The RGZ-95 ReZEL (Defenser B-Unit) is a variant of the RGZ-95 ReZEL. It first appears in the manga adaptation of Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn - Bande Dessinee.
Technology & Combat Characteristics
This upgraded version of ReZEL has more fire power than the normal RGZ-95 ReZEL. Two mega beam launchers equipped on this ReZEL increase the rate of fire and attack ability. The beam gun and the shield on the wing let the ReZEL defense itself more easily when the mega beam launcher is charging. With the large amount of missile pods on its back, the ReZEL is equipped with more thrusters on its back and on the sides.
Armaments
- Mega Beam Launcher
- For heavier firepower, the ReZEL (Defenser B-Unit) is outfitted with two mega beam launcher, originally tested on the RX-78-4 Gundam G04.
- Shield
- The RGZ-95 ReZEL uses a shield for defensive purposes. This shield also mounts a beam gun for mid ranged combat.
- Grenade Launcher
- The RGZ-95 ReZEL mounts a two-barrelled grenade launcher on the right forearm for mid ranged combat.
- Beam Saber
- One other standard armament is a beam saber for melee combat, which is hand carried in use. Both sabers are stored in the left forearm when not in use.
History
When Full Frontal and MSN-06S Sinanju attacked the Nahel Argama, some of the ReZEL pilots on board were given permission to use the defensor units. Two RGZ-95C ReZEL Commander Type (Defenser A-Unit) were deployed, one piloted by Norm Basilicock, along with a ReZEL (Defenser B-Unit) piloted by Riddhe Marcenas, and a Stark Jegan to intercept the Sinanju.
