The RGM-91S Jegan Enhanced Armor Type is a variation of the RGM-89 Jegan featured in B-Club 29.

Technology & Combat Characteristics[]

An improved version of the standard Jegan. It has a different backpack with more powerful engines and certain section of its body has better armor due to the use of Gundarium Alloy. It also has added apogee motors on its groin and legs. Its armament seems to be similar the Jegan's, but replaces the waist-mounted grenade rack with a second beam saber rack.

Armaments[]

  • Vulcan Pod System
A small machine gun mounted on the left side of the head. It utilizes caseless rounds stored in a removable magazine located in the right side of the head. The mounted vulcan gun has low firepower but a high rate of fire, it is extremely effective at restraining enemy machines, and can destroy the camera, sensors and joints of enemy machine at very close range.
  • Beam Saber
A beam weapon for close combat. It is a small device held in the mobile suit's hands when operated and is powered by a rechargeable energy capacitor. It emits a blade of plasma contained by an I-Field and can cut through any armor not treated with anti-beam coating. The RGM-91S has two beam sabers, one stored in each side armor.
  • Beam Rifle
The same firearm used by the RGM-89 Jegan. It has a short barrel for ease of handling, and is most effective in mid-close range combat due to its short firing range. Although its output is reduced, it has an excellent rate of fire, and can eliminate enemy accurately during melee combat when utilize in conjunction with the composite sensor at the top of the rifle. This beam rifle is powered by a removable energy pack attached vertically in front of the grip.
  • Shield
The shield has a beam-resistant coating on its surface, but the structure and materials focused more on repelling and deflecting incoming shots rather than withstand them. It is also equipped with a pair of twin missile launchers. The tip of the small missile is equipped with a composite sensor that can guide it even under the interference of minovsky particles in the battlefield, but its range is short due to its low propellant capacity.

History[]

The number of units produced is said to be 20, but the exact number is only known by the top brass.
