The RGM-79N GM Custom <Silver Haze Kai> is a mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Blazing Shadow.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
The RGM-79N GM Custom <Silver Haze Kai> is a further modification of the RGM-79N GM Custom <Silver Haze> intended to counter the twin beam sword used by Falaq's MS-14B Gelgoog High Mobility Types. This is accomplished by equipping a new beam weapon, the Beam Mitsumata. The recharge rack for the beam saber on the backpack has been removed and replaced with a mounting arm to stow the Beam Mitsumata. In addition, a built-in gatling gun has been added to the left forearm, increasing the mobile suit's overall firepower.
Armaments[]
- 60mm Vulcan Gun
- A pair of shell-firing armament built into the head. Low offensive power, only used to restrict enemy movement, and lay down a wall of suppressive fire due to their rapid fire capability.
- HWF GR·M82-90mm GM Rifle
- A portable, mobile suit-use 90mm rifle built based on the 'system weapon' structure, its effective range and accuracy is superior to the HWF GMG·MG79-90mm machine gun. With the extended barrel, the GM Rifle sees a 15% increase in muzzle velocity, leading to increased armor penetration capability.
- 90mm Gatling Gun
- After the original Silver Haze's left arm was damaged in battle, it was repaired and equipped with a retractable gatling gun derived from the ones used by the RX-78NT-1 Gundam NT-1. It is stored under the armor of the forearm, with the gun barrel usually being hidden and popping up during use.
- Beam Mitsumata
- A polearm with that generates beam blades from three emitters mounted on one end. This weapon was developed in order to match the reach of the twin beam sword used by Falaq's Gelgoog High Mobility Types so that there was no disadvantage in close combat. The weapon also has reduced energy consumption compared to a standard beam saber, increasing its operating time.
- Shield
- A basic defensive equipment for mobile suits. The shield used by the Silver Haze Kai has a unique almond shape.
History[]
Wings Hauser would use his GM Custom <Silver Haze Kai> in the final battle to defeat Falaq. After Falaq's leader, Rogui Negidrum, is killed in combat, many of the remaining Zeon remnants surrender to Shutendouji. Wings continues to use this machine after setting up the Maria Shield PMC with Cain Ragnard, and also uses it to support Cain in his quest for revenge against the Zeon remnants at Hell's Gate.
