The RGM-79N GM Custom <Silver Haze> is a mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Blazing Shadow.

Technology & Combat Characteristics

The GM Custom <Silver Haze> is a custom version of the RGM-79N GM Custom and the personal mobile suit of Shutendouji pilot Wings Hauser. The unit it was modified from was illegally purchased from a weapons dealer. At the request of Hauser, the entire body was painted silver, the same color as his hair, and two decorative horns have been added to the head in order to mimic the demon depicted on Shutendouji's emblem, which is painted on both shoulders. In addition, the shape of the shield it carries is different from that of the standard GM Custom. Otherwise, no major modifications have been made and the mobile suit possesses the same performance as the base model.

Armaments

• 60mm Vulcan Gun

A pair of shell-firing armament built into the head. Low offensive power, only used to restrict enemy movement, and lay down a wall of suppressive fire due to their rapid fire capability.

• XB-G-1019H Beam Saber

A beam weapon for close combat. It is a small device held in the mobile suit's hands when operated and is powered by a rechargeable energy capacitor. It emits a blade of plasma contained by an I-Field and can cut through any armor not treated with anti-beam coating. The Silver Haze carries the "Augusta MS series" type beam saber, stored on the right side of the backpack.

• HWF GR·M82-90mm GM Rifle

A portable, mobile suit-use 90mm rifle built based on the 'system weapon' structure, its effective range and accuracy is superior to the HWF GMG·MG79-90mm machine gun. With the extended barrel, the GM Rifle sees a 15% increase in muzzle velocity, leading to increased armor penetration capability. Additionally, a newly developed caseless cartridge allows for a lightened ammunition load.

• Shield

A basic defensive equipment for mobile suits. The shield used by the Silver Haze has a unique almond shape.

History

This machine was operated by the space pirates Shutendouji, based out of the shoal zone in Side 4. After taking damage to its left arm in combat against Falaq it is upgraded into the RGM-79N GM Custom <Silver Haze Kai>.
