A mobile suit based on the RGM-79SC GM Sniper Custom; while the RGM-79HC GM Guard Custom has enhanced defensive capabilities, the GM Intercept Custom is developed for fleet escorts.[1][2] The GM Intercept Custom is characterized by its equipping of the "Fellow Booster", an additional armament unit, on its back.[1][2] Several types of additional armament units have been developed with the aim of expanding the GM's operational range and offensive capabilities.[1][2] The Fellow Booster is an armament unit for outer space, and recycles the frame of the atmospheric-use "Corvette Booster".[1][2] The GM Intercept Custom was deployed at the strategic battle of A Baoa Qu, serving as an intercept unit while escorting the fleet.[1][2]
Armaments[]
Beam Saber
The GM Intercept Custom stores a single beam saber on a rack in the center of the rear waist armor to avoid interference when equipped with the Fellow Booster.
Beam Spray Gun
The standard equipment used by the GM series. Although their beams lack in convergence and output compared to beam rifles, their rapid-fire capabilities have been enhanced.
Missile Pod
The optional Fellow Booster is equipped with missile pods to enhance the offensive capabilities of the GM Intercept Custom.
Equipment[]
Fellow Booster
An optional outer space use armament unit. Mounted on the GM Intercept Custom's shoulders and back, it is equipped with thrusters and missile pods to improve the mobile suit's operational range and offensive capabilities in space.
