The RGM-79GB High Boost GM is a mobile suit from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Blazing Shadow.
Technology & Combat Characteristics[]
The High Boost GM is a prototype mobile suit based on the RGM-79G GM Command that was developed by the Earth Federation Forces with the goal of improving movement speed. The backpack has been changed to the same type as the standard RGM-79 GM's, and booster units have been added to each of the legs. These changes greatly increased movement speed, but in exchange, the evasion performance has been reduced. After the mobile suit was obtained by Shutendouji, a booster unit was mounted on the back of the waist. The color of the body is a two-toned gray and light purple. The pilot, Seria Hauser, wanted pink, but her brother rejected her request.
Armaments[]
- 60mm Vulcan Gun
- A pair of shell-firing armament built into the head. Low offensive power, only used to restrict enemy movement, and lay down a wall of suppressive fire due to their rapid fire capability.
- Beam Saber
- A beam weapon for close combat. It is a small device held in the mobile suit's hands when operated and is powered by a rechargeable energy capacitor. It emits a blade of plasma contained by an I-Field and can cut through any armor not treated with anti-beam coating. Two beam sabers are stored in the backpack.
- YHI YF81-MP100 Machine Pistol
- A handheld weapon that was developed based on the RX-78XX Gundam Pixy's submachine guns and officially adopted. It is capable of full-auto fire and has a larger magazine. The machine pistol emphasizes power rather than accuracy, so its rate of fire is extremely high, allowing it to create a powerful barrage in a short period time. The High Boost GM is equipped with two machine pistols to double its firepower.
History[]
The prototype High Boost GM came into possession of the Shutendouji space pirates and was modified before becoming the personal machine of Seria Hauser.
