The RGC-80S GM Cannon Space Assault Type is a variant of the RGC-80 GM Cannon. It was first featured in the original design series MSV-R: The Return of Johnny Ridden.
Technology & Combat Characteristics
To make the RGC-80 GM Cannon more efficient for space usage the Earth Federation brought in the RGC-80S GM Cannon Space Assault Type. The GM Cannon Space Assault Type carries less heavy armor from the hip skirt to the legs and carries more thrusters behind the legs and backpack. Since the GM Cannon Space Assault Type's heavy armor is removed its speed and agility are increased.
Armaments
- 360mm rocket cannon
- A 360mm rocket cannon mounted on the right shoulder, which was used for mid-range support.
- 60mm Head Vulcan Guns
- Vulcan guns mounted in its head, which gave pilots backup firepower that was highly effective against aircraft and ground vehicles
- Beam spray gun
- A beam spray gun, which was basically a downgrade in most aspects of the Gundam's powerful beam rifle.
- Balzac type 380mm rocket bazooka
- A clip fed bazooka firing rocket rounds.
