Technology & Combat Characteristics
Like its large "brother", the Lesseps-class land battleship, the Petrie-class is well armed with its weaponry including four 2-barrel cannons, with two mounted on each side of the ship. Other armaments include two cannons, one on the front and one on the rear side, and lastly 16 missile launchers, which allow the ship to fire a large number of missiles in a short amount of time.

Special Equipment & Features
- Scale System
- Like the Lesseps-class, the Petrie-class uses Scale system to liquefy sand and sail across the desert.
Besides fielding the large Lesseps-class, ZAFT also created the Petrie-class land battleship to accompany the larger ships for military supremacy on the ground. During the First Alliance-PLANT War, these ships are used among others by Andrew Waltfeld, who used two such ships, the Petrie and Henry Carter, in his assault on the Archangel and the Desert Dawn resistance fighters in the desert of North Africa.
