According to the photo novel Gundam Sentinel, Penta was the main relay station in low Earth orbit for space-faring military vessels of the Earth Federation.

History

It is composed of five circular columns that extended from its center. In each of theses arms, battleships and cargo freighters dock in to receive maintenance or supplies. On April 4, U.C.0088, survivors of the New Desides faction take over the station, where they use three Enterprise-class shuttles in an attempt to escape to Earth.

Notes

Penta is based on the five-sided fort city Goryōkaku.
